Stephanie Lopez: Structural Restoration Contractor for South Florida Buildings

Two decades in restoration — from the inside out

Stephanie Lopez didn't come to structural restoration through a sales office. She spent 15 years at National Concrete Preservation, one of South Florida's established concrete restoration firms — starting as an office administrator in 2007 and working her way up through executive assistant to the CEO, then a decade as project coordinator and finance manager. That path means she learned the industry from every angle most contractors never see: how repair scopes are actually budgeted, how contracts are administered, how safety programs run, and where restoration projects go wrong financially before they go wrong structurally.

Building New Age

In 2022, after earning her MBA in Business Administration and Management from Florida International University and her Florida general contractor's license, Stephanie founded New Age Construction Group (CGC #1531273), headquartered in Coral Gables. The firm focuses on one problem: what South Florida's salt air, storms, and sun do to concrete buildings — and how to fix it properly. Today NACG leads restoration scopes across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, working on occupied condominiums, cooperatives, and commercial properties every day. As a licensed real estate sales associate as well, she understands the other side of the equation too — what deferred maintenance and clean inspection records each do to a property's value.

Why she writes

After years of watching boards receive milestone reports they couldn't decode and repair quotes they couldn't compare, Stephanie started writing the guides she wished her clients had — plain-English explanations of spalling, epoxy injection, waterproofing systems, and Florida's post-Surfside compliance rules. Every post on the NACG blog is written for the people who have to make the call: board members, property managers, and building owners.
